CLIMATE & TERROIR: A climate with warm summers and cold
winters. The terroir has elements of weathered granite and
slate.
VINIFICATION: The grapes are harvested by hand and aged for a long time
soaked. The fermentation is stopped by adding wine alcohol,
followed by 4 to 6 years of wood maturation in large barrels of approximately 20,000
liter.
GRAPES: touriga francesa, tinta roriz, touriga nacional
ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 20.00%
FRAGRANCE & TASTE: Refined aromas of strawberry jam with spicy
notes of cedar, leather, mocha and coffee. Rich taste of red
berry with firm tannins and a long finish.
SERVING SUGGESTION: Serve with dishes containing chocolate,
almonds, walnuts and a rich cheese platter including
blue cheeses.
FACT: The Late Bottled Vintage is made from grapes from one
harvest year, but is bottled later than a regular vintage. It
