CLIMATE & TERROIR: Temperate continental climate. The soils
consist largely of slate, sand and clay. The vines are
average age 40 years.
VINIFICATION: The grapes are fermented separately per vineyard.
stainless steel barrels and matured for 12 months in wooden
barrels. The wines are then blended and matured for another 12
months in foeders (large oak barrels).
GRAPES: nebbiolo
ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 14.00%
SMELL & TASTE: Combination of the characteristics of 14
different vineyards. Very balanced, complex wine
with aromas of plum, ripe berry, a light licorice, beautiful
wood tones and a refined acidity.
SERVING SUGGESTION: Serve with meat dishes or matured
cheeses.
FACT: The grapes from the 14 unique plots are first
completely separately vinified and barrel-aged. Only then does the
extremely careful blending process and a new maturation follows
of 12 months.
