Taylor's Quinta de Vargellas Vinha Velha 2005

CLIMATE & TERROIR: Warm summers and cold winters. The terroir
of the Vargellas vineyard consists of slate and schist.

VINIFICATION: After an intensive soaking period, fermentation begins
continues and the alcohol percentage increases. At 8% it becomes
process stopped by adding wine alcohol. Approximately 2 years maturation
in oak barrels, further maturation in bottle.

ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 20.50%
AROMA & TASTE: This port has a range of flavours: from dark
bitter chocolate, to ripe, rich black plums, cherries,
blueberry and blackberry jam. The Vargellas Vinha Velha is good
structured and has an endless aftertaste.

SERVING SUGGESTION: Excellent combination with
blue cheeses
